Growing up is full of big moments.
Some of them you can see coming from a mile away.
And some you can't see at all.

Well, the time has come to move Mackenzie to the Big girl bed. And, Willard and Emma could not have been more excited for her. Will and I could not have been more sad....As I watched all 3 of my children, who had slept in this crib at some point take it down with there Dad I got a little teary eyed. As I watched Willard take out screw by screw(seriously, he had 5 screws out before Will did), it was like my heart breaking with each screw he took out. With it being 2 days away from his 6TH birthday,we just passed our 6 years we have lived in our house, 2 kids in Kindergarten.....A girl can only take so much!
Mackenzie waved good-bye to her crib, with a little bit of sadness. Which, I am ok with.
Goodbye crib.....

Hello big girl bed....

I am pretty sure we will be buying a Bigger girl bed sooner than I know. For such a little girl, she sleeps like a big person! And, has already fallen out of it in the middle of the night. I am sure I will get teary eyed when we say goodbye to this bed. But, for now....
Out on the ocean sailing away,
I can hardly wait to see you to come of age,
But I guess we'll both just have to be patient.
Yes it's a long way to go, but in the meantime,
Before you cross the street, take my hand,
Life is just what happens to you
While your busy making other plans.
