Not just another day...

I am a little behind in my posts...sorry, mom! We had my grandma over last week for lunch to celebrate her birthday. She was so busy with other parties on her actual party! She is quite the socialite. Mackenzie and i made tarts that morning for the chicken salad, very Fancy Nancy as Emma says. and, we had lemonade Refreshments(per Emma,, bc that is what fancy nancy has). And, the strawberry cupcakes, which, as you can see were quite delicious! my grandma Loved coming over on a weekday and ust hanging out with us. she said it is the best time she has ever had at our house! And, I am going to take that a a compliment. Because what she meant was is that it was wonderful fo rher ot be our only guest(besides my mom) and what we do on a regular day. To me it might seem mundane and predicatable, we play in the backyard in the morning, swing, play in the sandbox and occasionally build a fort that Fancy Nancy would approve of! and, the in the afternoon, move to the front, socialize with neighbors, ride bikes and draw with chalk. but, to my grandma, they were Actaully interacting with her, saying Great grandma look at this or watch me. And, then drawing her pictures with chalk. She was in heaven. And, I realized how special everyday is and each day is a gift not to be taken for granted.


And, the cupcakes are good!




And, then they were gone!
Some were Very tired.......
